What are the Arts?

The Arts are in our lives everyday, and they are alive in Paris and Henry County! Everyday the arts enrich our lives by expanding our horizons. Do you ever look at a painting or picture and feel inspired? The arts bring beauty into our lives and make new experiences. Often, they help us view life from a different perspective. Painting, drawing, taking pictures, listening and creating music are all forms of art.

Every year, all fifth graders in both the Paris Special School District, and Henry County Schools go to TPAC in Nashville to see a professional play, which is made possible by the Arts Council. On October 20th, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival is coming to perform MacBeth, and many students from the city and county schools will be able to attend that play free of charge.
