Announcing the Artists for ARTS Round the Square 2024

The Paris Henry County Arts Council is proud to present an exciting lineup of talented artists at this year’s ARTS Round the Square. Set for September 28th, 2024 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, this event will showcase a diverse group of creators, from painters and sculptors to jewelers and fiber artists, all eager to share their work with the community. Whether you're a long-time art lover or simply curious to explore local creativity, this year’s event offers a perfect opportunity to discover something new and connect with the people behind the art.


Ceramics

  • Angela Spotts creates stunning wheel-thrown pottery through her brand, Wyld Flower Pottery. View her work at https://wyldflowerpottery.etsy.com.

  • Martin Paschall, a retired public school music educator, now enjoys creating beautiful ceramic pieces, available at https://PaschallPottery.etsy.com.

  • Jennifer Wright partners with Janice Wright to create pottery under the name "The Two Wrights."


Fiber Arts

  • Layla Deweese specializes in crochet stuffed animals and hand-knitted cardigans.

  • Dola Beaty is known for her intricate embroidery work, from ornate jackets to other embroidered creations.

  • Anita Wahlsmith makes rag rugs on hundred year old loom as well as painted gourd birdhouses and removable golf seat covers.

  • Debbie Meade is known for her crystal spiders. She and her family of disabled artists create beautiful jewelry pieces and other decorations.

  • Mary Buck, a jewelry designer with 25 years of experience, will be showcasing her wearable art made with upcycled metals, glass, buttons, and more.

Painting

  • David Carrico, a local eye doctor, paints in his spare time and will be joined by his sister, Jill Brandush, who is also a part-time artist.

  • Lori VanScyoc specializes in a variety of creative works, with a particular focus on decorative and functional art.

  • Deborah Rogers makes hand-made dot mandala paintings — painted dot by dot — on canvas, plates, mini terra cotta pots, and much more.

  • Renee Leach makes fluid art creations, using her paint pour technique on vases, clocks, coasters, and jewelry.


Woodworking

  • Ira Weaver is a woodburner that runs a collective art shop in Parsons, Tennessee, which you can explore at The Wood Weaver.

  • Jim Price is a semi-retired woodworking artist.

  • Augie Kinsley specializes in laser woodwork, creating custom pieces for special life events and offering pieces of encouragement. Follow her work on facebook at @TNlaserlady.

  • Teina Zwolinski is an interior designer turned self-made artist that takes reclaimed wood from lakes, rivers, and woods, and reshapes it into beautiful pieces of art.

  • Farmapeutic, LLC, based in Tennessee, is a family-run farmstead founded by the Chaparro family that sells things like coffee and vanilla.

  • Anna Weber, a young seventh-grade student, will also be showcasing her Perler bead art creations.
