Entrants sought for Captured Moments Photography Show
Attention all shutterbugs! The Paris-Henry County Arts Council and Dr. And Mrs. Danny Kimberlin cordially invite photographers to become a contestant in the upcoming “Captured Moments: 31st Annual Photography Showcase.” The event is open to any photographer and there is no entry fee.
The submission deadline is quickly approaching. Registration must be received by the Arts Council by 5 pm on Monday, April 17. Photographers may register with the easy online form at www.phcarts.com under the Events tab or download the form and return it by mail to P.O. Box 1045, Paris, TN 38242. Complete rules and requirements can also be found at the same website.
Photo entries must be delivered to the W. G. Rhea Library on Friday, April 21, between 3-6 pm, or Saturday, April 22, between 9-11 am. Ribbons and prize money will be awarded during a public reception on Sunday, April 23, from 2 to 4 pm at the library, located at 400 W. Washington Street in Paris.
Photography categories are: Action, Altered Image, Architectural, Black and White, Mobile, Natural World, People, Travel, and Wildlife. Youth are encouraged to participate, and winners will receive awards in either the 6-12 year olds or 13-17 year olds categories.
New to this year’s show will be the Peoples’ Choice Award sponsored by the Paris Photography Club. The public will have the opportunity to choose their favorite photos in the adult and youth categories. A voting box and ballots will be available at the show. Winners will receive a ribbon and cash prize and will be announced at a later date. Exhibits will remain on display for viewing by the public through May 19, 2023.
