ArtyFacts for July

The Paris Henry County Arts Council is gearing up for a new year and we want you to be a part of the fun! We are excited about the upcoming year and are working to add some new and appealing opportunities to our season. Of course your favorites aren't going away, so plan to see us at Arts 'Round the Square, our annual Christmas Concert, and our annual Artist Showcase and Photo Showcase.

We are working to prepare for our fantastic festival Arts 'Round the Square. This annual event is a part of the Eye Full of Paris weekend celebration and will take place on Saturday, September 26. We are currently accepting applications for exhibitors and food vendors. If you would like to be a part of this show, you can pick up an application at City Hall or download one from our website, www.phcarts.com. If you need more information or would like to volunteer please contact the Arts Council by email at phcarts@gmail.com.

Have you seen the impressive season in store this year at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center? Did you know that the Arts Council arranges trips to see Broadway touring productions at TPAC every year? This year we are planning to see 3 thrilling shows that you will not want to miss!

The first production is Rodger's & Hammerstein's Cinderella on Saturday, October 24 at 2:00. This lush production features an incredible orchestra, jaw-dropping trasformations and all the moments you love — the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more — plus some surprising new twists! The cost of this trip is only $100 per person for an orchestra seat at the show and a seat on a chartered bus to and from Nashville. Get a group of friends together for this dramatic production and dinner in Nashville and leave the driving to us. Reservations for Cinderella are due at the Arts Council office by August 17.

Later this seaon you will have the good fortune to be able to see Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, following an acclaimed sold-out tour of the United Kingdom. This new production boasts many exciting special effects including the legendary chandelier, new choreography and staging, and Tony Award winning costuming.

Finishing this incredible trio of shows will be none other than Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Based on the Academy Award winning feature film, this eye-popping spectacle brings to life the most beautiful love store ever told.

Seating will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Why not lock inyour spot for all 3 shows now? Contact the Arts Council with any questions.
