ARTS Round the Square 2024: A Resounding Success!
This year’s ARTS Round the Square, held on October 19th in downtown Paris, TN, was an absolute triumph! Despite a reschedule due to weather, the event drew a fantastic turnout and received glowing feedback from both artists and attendees.
One of the highlights of the day was our new street festival layout, which moved vendors onto the streets around the courthouse. Both artists and shoppers loved the new setup! Vendors repeatedly expressed how much they appreciated the street space, and attendees enjoyed how easy it was to explore and shop. The layout fostered a close-knit atmosphere, making the event feel more intimate and accessible.
In addition to the wonderful vendor response, the logistics of setting up and tearing down went smoothly, with vendors packing up efficiently after the event. The weather was perfect, contributing to the overall positive energy that was felt throughout the day.
Even with the event landing at the end of fall break for Henry County Schools, we saw a steady stream of visitors throughout the day. Guests enjoyed the wide array of local art, from over 50 talented artists, spanning sculpture, painting, woodworking, and more. The event also featured live performances from four songwriters and a live band, adding music to the vibrant celebration of art.
Our first-ever merchandise store, featuring products with the artwork of local artist Amethyst Alexander, was a big hit! Visitors loved browsing the unique items and supporting the Arts Council through their purchases.
The overwhelming response from vendors and attendees alike was one of happiness and satisfaction. The atmosphere was welcoming, and our team worked hard to ensure that both artists and guests had a great experience. Overall, this year’s ARTS Round the Square was a major success, bringing our community together to celebrate the incredible talent we have right here in Paris, TN.
