Layout for ARTS Round the Square 2024
We’re thrilled to share the layout for the 2024 ARTS Round the Square happening tomorrow, October 19th, in downtown Paris, TN! This year, we’ve adapted to recent changes around the courthouse square, where some old trees had to be removed during renovations. To accommodate, we’re turning the event into more of a street festival, moving artists onto the street and out of the dirt, creating a close-knit atmosphere. We hope this new layout encourages guests to explore each vendor booth!
Despite the recent reschedule (thank you for your patience!), we will still have over 50 talented artists exhibiting their craft—expect to see a range of artistic disciplines, from sculpture to painting to woodworking. This year’s event promises to be a vibrant display of local artistry.
The event will also feature incredible musical performances from songwriters and musicians across West Tennessee. Here’s the schedule:
9:00am - 10:00am: Mark Johnson — a native of Paris, TN bringing with folk and country
10:00am - 12:00pm: Stringed Beats — a West Tennessee-based trio of Irish, folk, and old-time music
12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lindsey Russell — a Lexington, TN songwriter with an old-school country sound
1:00pm - 3:00pm: Mike Mitchell — a Nashville performing songwriter with an Americana/Folk feel
3:00pm - 4:00pm: Shannon Davis — an Appalachian-born singer-songwriter with deep roots in storytelling

We’re also excited to debut our first-ever ARTS Round the Square merchandise featuring the work of local artist, Amethyst Alexander. You’ll spot volunteers wearing red t-shirts with her featured artwork, Tennessee in Color. Visit the Arts Council tent (marked by a big red star on the map) to see more of her products, including notebooks and yard flags. These items are also available for purchase online, with all proceeds benefiting the Arts Council.
